Stressed about packing for your next trip? Trying to avoid overpacking? Got wrinkles? You've come to the right blog post. Our wonderful new intern Audra has some valuable packing and travel tips to help ease your mind and avoid overweight baggage fees. Take it away, Audra!

No matter where my destination is, I like to keep things light and simple. Travel is supposed to be fun, exciting, and relaxing. The last thing you want to worry about is forgetting to bring your toothbrush or your beach essentials.

Here are a few tips to help you travel with ease.

Firstly, I always try to plan my outfits for the place I am going, before I pack them into my suitcase. If I didn't do this, I'd end up with 20 tops and only 2 bottoms. So it is important to dress for the climate, activities, and occasions you know you'll be going to.

Secondly, I always roll my clothes. This is a tip I learned a few years back and it saves so much room in my suitcase. Rolling your clothes will also keep your clothes wrinkle-free. See how I roll my kimono below! I can fit so many more items in my suitcase this way, and I have peace of mind that my clothes won't get wrinkled on their way to my destination.

Lastly, I always pack simple, solid colored clothes and dress them up with accessories. Most of the time, packing is about saving as much room as possible so that you can fit it all in. So I always try to bring clothes that I can wear multiple times with different items. I try to keep my travel wardrobe simple and bring dark colors so that they don't show wear as much. Then I pack my favorite accessories to dress the simple items up, for whatever I may be doing on my trip. Bringing unique jewelry and a cute bag along will help to spruce up any outfit. Check out the photo below for my favorites!

Some of my favorite products that are super travel-friendly:

Lush Solid Shampoo Bar: These are great for travel because NO LIQUIDS! This will save you from having to worry about using those tiny bottles of travel shampoo, or from wasting precious vacation minutes at baggage claim. I was always running out of shampoo mid-vacay. It will also save you a trip to the store before your traveling. Less stress and less hassle while you’re away!

Lotus and Luna Tote Bag: This is the perfect airport bag and "personal item"! They have adorable designs, they’re great for having easy access to your airplane essentials, and they’re super sturdy! Really love using these when I’m on-the-go! (psst they're now only $12)

Packing Cubes: Two words: Life Changing. You can find these on Amazon! They’re perfect for organizing all of your clothes when you’re packing. I like to pack all my tops in one and pants in another. These are even great for putting together outfits and keeping them separate from the rest of your suitcase. I usually roll my clothes and then pack them away in their packing cubes and my suitcase is perfectly organized and I know everything will travel safe and sound!

These are a few of the travel tips and tricks I use when I'm preparing for a trip. Hope you learned something new! Now get up and get packing! As Ray Bradbury once said, "See the World. It's more fantastic than any dream."
